Nana Addo says NDC's mantra to win one million votes in the Ashanti region is misplaced.

  Nana Akufo-Addo, Flagbearer, NPP
The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo, says the National Democratic Congress’ mantra of operation “1 million votes in Ashanti” will not happen in the 2016 general elections.
Nana Addo described it as nothing more than a mirage which will not see the light of day.
He assured NPP faithfuls that the Party’s leadership has targeted nothing less than 85% of the popular vote in the Ashanti region.
Speaking to a group of women who visited him at his Nima residence in Accra Wednesday, Mr Akufo-Addo said "you need to elect people you believe in, and people who will work for Ghana to succeed. Most people know that it is only the NPP who can bring prosperity, employment for the youth and progress for all. We have the men and women who can give this nation good and effective government."
He said it is possible for a Buhari kind of victory to happen in Ghana in 2016, but added that such a feat can only happen with a lot of hard work by the party and its supporters.
He, therefore tasked party members to spread the “good news” about the NPP in all corners of the country, saying the party must let Ghanaians know that it has resourceful people who can steer the affairs of the country if elected into office. “We must not waste the opportunity,” Mr Akufo-Addo said.
